Description
From an artisanal manufacture, the teapot called “memory” is made of clay for tea infusions at 95° degrees. Use a teapot for each family of tea. After multiple infusions, a culottage is formed at the bottom of the teapot and outside the clay becomes smooth over time, with a shiny appearance.
Around 1500, the first clay teapots from Yixing were used to brew tea leaves, as we do today. Since that time, the fabrications have been maintained, with thousands of potters specializing in all kinds of objects using the different clays of Yixing.
