The most famous tea of the Rocks: “Red Robe”, since the Ming dynasty (1368-1644)
Called «King of teas» by the Chinese, considered a national treasure, it is produced in the mountain of Yuyi, now «protected area».
Today the culture is made from cuttings of the original tea plants, at an altitude between 300 and 400 meters in a rocky area with little sunshine.
Only one annual harvest is made in May. After a 60% fermentation, the leaves are brown, tapered and twisted. Light cocoa aroma, amber and bright liqueur, dense flavor in the mouth with a mineral touch.
